Privacy Policy

Tidy Invoices is designed with privacy as a core principle. Your data stays on your device and in your iCloud account — not on our servers.

What we collect

Nothing is sent to Tidy Invoices' servers. We don't have servers.

All data you create in the app — invoices, estimates, clients, catalogue items, your business profile — is stored:

Locally on your device, and
In your personal iCloud account (only if you're signed in to iCloud)

Sync across your devices is handled by Apple's CloudKit service. We cannot see, access, export, or modify your data in any way.

What the app connects to

Tidy Invoices makes a small number of network requests, each for a specific feature:

Apple iCloud / CloudKit — to sync your invoices and estimates across your own devices. Apple's privacy policy applies: apple.com/legal/privacy
postcodes.io (free public API) — when you tap "Find" on a postcode field, your postcode is sent to look up the corresponding city and county. No personal data is included.
Apple CLGeocoder — part of iOS. Converts coordinates into a town name when you search a postcode.
Companies House API (free public UK API) — when you search for a client by company name, your search query is sent to Companies House. No personal data is included.
Mail and Share — when you send an invoice or estimate, you use Apple's Mail or Share Sheet. Tidy Invoices does not send anything itself.

No advertising SDKs. No analytics. No crash-reporting services. No third-party trackers.

Your data rights (UK GDPR)

Because Tidy Invoices never receives your data, we cannot action data subject requests in the usual way. To:

Export your data: use Settings → Export CSV or Export all PDFs as ZIP
Delete your data: use Settings → Delete all data, which removes everything from your device and your iCloud
Access your data: it's already on your device, viewable at any time

Children

Tidy Invoices is not directed at children under 13 and collects no data at all.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy occasionally. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the latest revision. Meaningful changes will be announced in the app's release notes.
